My Faery Cards

I’ve been looking at my faery cards and trying to learn about them. There was a review about this Mystic Faery Deck in American Tarot Society ( I think that’s who it was) that talked about how cool they are and that the minor cards actually tell a story within each suit. I haven’t had the time yet to really study them but they seem very interesting. I plan to make flash cards to help me learn what the different cards mean. I really think Tarot is interesting and I want to learn more. I find it quite fascinating.

What has been your experience with Tarot? Do you use other tools for Divination? Anyone use a scrying mirror?  Just curious and would love your comments.

ive been studying tarot for 10 years. lol that seems like such a long time but really it means i first learned about the cards when i was 12. i got serious about it when i was in high school. i usually only read for myself which is always very confusing but on a couple of occasions i read for my friends and they said i was very good! i have the druidcraft deck which is very beautiful and has a good book that goes with it but i find its very good to learn from many different interpretations.

My studying has slowed down quite a bit, but I’m studying the Archeon Deck by Timothy Lantz. I *heart* my deck. This year I’ve started my study by learning about and reflecting on the Major Arcana. I haven’t really done any readings yet, though… Though I have had a couple readings done for me. I just feel like I want to learn and be familiar and comfortable with the deck before I do any spreads to read.

I take into consideration the “book interpretation” of a card, the basic archetypes and themes, but a big part of my study is reflecting on how I have experienced those archetypes in my own life, and how I personally feel or react to said archetypes – and sometimes I come out with a different interpretation for a card than what a book might read or another reader might interpret. But that’s what’s fabulous about the Tarot!

I’ve just recently purchased the “Mystic Faerie Tarot” by Linda Ravenscroft and Barbara Moore, and let me say as my first deck, it is fantastic.
