New Beginnings

July 14th, 2008, 5:38 pm by Admin

Well, I went and did it. I started yet another web store. This one is great with the theme of homemade soap that made to order.  You just pick the ingredients and it gets made fresh and shipped to you.  The fragrances are wonderful and I am having so much fun with it. The site looks great too. If you care to visit, it is www.sudzfactory.com  I’d be interested in any comment reviews and such. Still needs a few finishing touches but it’s great. Check it out!

Getting Caught Up

May 31st, 2008, 5:29 pm by Admin

Wow! I can’t believe how much time has passed since my last post. Things have been busy.

I’ve been doing the soap making thing for a bit and have repeat customers. That’s encouraging enough that I might be able to make some money at it. One can always try anyway. But I think the main thing is I am having fun with it.

Today my husband removed the old tub from our bathroom so now we can gut it and get to the remodeling Woo Hoo! I want my bathroom back upstairs. We’ve been using the bathroom downstairs. We leave all our clothes downstairs since there is the laundry and shower area next to one another. If I shower upstairs, my clothes will be up there. I can hardly wait.

My job is still going for now. Being a temporary employee sort of stinks because you don’t know how long the contract will last. But I think that’s true of a lot of jobs anymore. They are not really certain. But I like where I am for now so I will stay here as long as possible.

Beltane went by and I hardly blinked. I should have a least stopped and acknowledged. A limb entwining at least :) But I didn’t even get together with friends.

I’ve planted the yard with many flowers this year and it looks wonderful. My climbing roses are blooming- quite a spectacular sight.

Still go to belly dancing every Wednesday night with the hopes I’ll finally get it right. I keep getting better but need to practice more.

The dragon babies are growing. I look at Peatie and he’s starting to look all grown up. And the new guy, Little bub, is growing what seems daily with a hearty appetite. They are both beautiful dragons and I look forward to seeing them as adults. Now if I could just get everybody well, I’d have something. Cassie is still sick and Rudy was acting a bit under the weather so he’s getting medicine too. Very expensive vet bills. But I just want them well.

That’s about it. How’s thing’s by your way?

New Clean Hobby

April 14th, 2008, 1:57 pm by Admin

I found a new hobby-soap making. No, I’m not quite brave enought to do the lye things, especially since I have two dogs that will eat anything. But I am doing what’s called melt and pur and it’s a blast. Easy enough that it allows you to get creative with the designs and such. There are many different bases available too. Shea butter, aloe, hemp, goats milk, cucumber and avocado. The fragrances are wonderful. My kitchen smells so good these days too. Right now it’s all about soap. I’m going to put a option on the website to make your own soap. You chose the pattern, then a base, a fragrance and a color and wala- you have your own soap. I think it should go over great. Tell me what you think?

The Fairies are Here!

February 29th, 2008, 2:44 pm by Admin

I am pleased to announce the addition of new fairies to my web site. They are gorgeous and I am quite please with them. I also added some perfume bottles, some liquid sage for purification, and some nice bags for tarot cards. There are a lot of things that make nice gifts for people on the site. And in case you can’t decide what to buy, you can purchase a gift certificate. I love my little web site, I think it’s pretty cool. If you want the check out the fairies, you can see them all here : http://www.agelesstreasures.biz/fairies-c-28.html

I’d be interested to hear what you think about them and the site. Thanks

I am excited to announce a new addition to my dragon family. He or she does not have a name yet. There is a  in the picture so you can see how small he is. I will post better pics soon. He is very cute and very sweet. I’m already in love with him (I think it’s a him). I will name him once I figure out his personality and name him accordingly. That will be half the fun.

Trade Show

February 20th, 2008, 4:22 pm by Admin

I recently had the pleasure of attending a new age trade show in Orlando the end of January. There I saw some interesting things for the store. I found some beautiful fairies that I will be adding to the store shortly. I showed some to a friend and she bought a bunch of them she liked them so much.

I purchased some crystals but they sold already so I will have to purchase some more.  I also got some sage spray for cleansing an area. Good for when you can’t light a real smudge. I also found some wonderful oils and sprays as well. So many to chose from so I have to decide what to order.

Please visit the store at www.agelesstreasures.biz and I am looking for feed back always. Stop by and shop a spell.

Death of another Dragon

February 12th, 2008, 5:35 pm by Admin

I am very sad to report that I had another one of my dragons pass away.  She has been sick with a respiratory ailment which she was not able to get rid of. I had taken her to the vet and she went through a series of antibiotics but they didn’t help, plus her culture had no growth. Most likely then, a viral illness.

Spike was pretty cool girl. She was always content to just hang with you. spike.JPG

Good company. She was a tease though and liked to tease my male dragons. I called her a hussy.

It was sad though that I practically watched her die. She acted like she could not breathe and suffocated. It was horrible because I could not do anything to help her.

I have plans to get another dragon, eventually. I think a respectable time should pass before you have an animal re-occupy her cage. Beside, I need to finish sterilizing it.

So please give a though to my poor dragon. She was the one I called “air” because she like to hang in her hammock.  The when you would put worms in her cage, she would fly down to get them. Very cute.

Thanks for listening

Happy New Year

January 3rd, 2008, 10:42 am by Admin

Well it’s hard to believe that it is the start of another year.  They just keep flying by. I find this a bit disconcerting because it appears that time is speeding up which means I am getting older, but it would seem at a faster rate.  I don’t feel old at all and because of health concerns that have gotten under control (bipolar disorder) I feel as though my life has just begun. Fine thing when you realize you are middle aged. I’ve lost precious years because of this stupid illness. I tend to hang with younger people. I guess I am trying to capture my lost youth or something.

New Years is a time of resolutions. You sort of take stock and assess what changes you would like to make in your life. My main one, beside the unbiquitous lose weight, is to clean up my house and get some remodeling projects done. I am tired of living in whatI call a dump.   Just a lot of clutter with no room to store anything. No attic, no closets- so where do you put anything? You can only fit so much stuff in dressers and such. Plus we are one bathroom short and would love to have my bathroom upstairs again. It’s a long walk to the downstairs back end of the house in the middle of the night.

My other big thing this year is that I want to start a new web site all about bearded dragons. I want to have a store with it but have it be a source of information too where people can go and ask questions. People will also be able to post pics of their dragons too. I think it would be a lot of fun. This would be in addition to my existing store www.agelesstreasures.biz . That is going to have some changes as well- but that’s another story.

What is your new year’s resolution?  Do you too want to shed a few pounds?  I’d be curious to hear what the rest of you have planned for the new year.

New Earth Dragon

November 16th, 2007, 9:07 pm by Admin

Well, I had to do it. I couldn’t not have a dragon for “earth” so I got a new lizard. In thinking of a name, I though “what is a good name for earth”. I immediately thought “peat moss” so I said “that’s it”. Peatie!
